GROUP THINK - 08.2018 - STUFF - Arielle Bernstein.jpg

MONDAY, AUGUST 6 @ 5:15 PM

SONS OF NORWAY TROLL LOUNGE

A public conversation about our STUFF with Christine Hoper, senior project manager, Flint Group, and minimalist, and Linda Lammers, owner and operator, Change is Good!, and certified relocation and transition specialist.

What’s your most valuable possession? What could you live without and not ever replace? Which material things define you? What do you collect? What’s the most memorable gift you’ve unwrapped? What material possessions do you hope to give to someone else before or when you die? What would someone learn about you if they saw everything you own? How many of your possessions have you made or built? What did or do you aspire to own because of the family or community you grew up in? What do the most influential members of your social circle own? Who produces, transports, vends and maintains the things you need or want – groceries, clothes, household goods, vehicles, iPhones…? Who benefits (most) when we shop? How do we dispose of what we don’t need? What level of financial security does minimalism require? What do you give up when you own too much?

Curated + organized by Netha Cloeter, Jeff Holth + Cortnee Jensen.
